Getting to the ship easyCruiseOne
Our smaller ship, easyCruiseOne is based in Marina Zea, Piraeus which is next to Athens in Greece. On the day of embarkation at the start of your cruise you should make your own way to the ship.
Please note that the name of yacht marina in Athens is Marina Zea or Marina Zeas (both are correct in Greek). For clarity, most other cruise ships and ferries use the main or central port of Piraeus, but this is not in the case for easyCruiseOne. The nearest international airport is Athens (IATA code ATH) and Marina Zea is about one hour away by taxi from the airport.
Please show this wording in Greek to any local person and they should be able to direct you to Marina Zea.
Παρακαλώ να με πάτε στη Μαρίνα Ζέας, στον Πειραιά, στο κρουαζιερόπλοιο easyCruiseOne.
Σημ.: Όχι στο κεντρικό λιμάνι του Πειραιά.

INTRODUCING PIRAEUS
Athens' port of Piraeus is the main port of Greece and one of the Mediterranean’s major ports. One of the most attractive parts of Piraeus is the eastern quarter around Zea Marina (where you’ll board easyCruiseOne). There are lots of places to change money along the Great Harbour as well as plenty of ATMs. There are luggage lockers at the metro station which cost €3 for 24 hours if you have time to kill.

If you are catching a bus from the airport, they leave from between gates 4 and 5 outside the arrivals area.
Airport → central Athens Bus No X95 runs every 30 minutes, operating 24-hours a day. The bus stops outside the National Gardens on Amalias on the eastern side of Plateia Syntagmatos.
Airport → Piraeus Bus No X96 runs 24 hours between the airport and Plateia Karaïskaki in Piraeus, with services every 20 minutes. Three minutes away from Plateia Karaïskaki, Bus No 904 will connect you with Zea Marina.
Central Athens → Piraeus Buses Nos 040 and 049 operate 24 hours a day between central Athens and Piraeus; they run every 20 minutes from 6am until midnight and then hourly. Bus No 040 runs between Filellinon (Plaka district) in Athens and Akti Xaveriou in Piraeus and there is a stop outside the Hotel Savoy on Iroon Polytechniou. Bus No 049 runs between Omonia in Athens and Plateia Themistokleous in Piraeus.
METRO & ELECTRIC RAILWAY
There are three lines – Line 1 ISAP (green – known as the Electric Railway), Line 2 Metro (red) and Line 3 Metro (blue) and trains run every 5 minutes during peak hours and 10 minutes at all other times, though the airport trains run once every 30 minutes at all times. Whilst there have been reports of pickpockets on trains to Piraeus you are unlikely to have any problems if you keep your possessions close, secured and in sight. Validate your ticket at the platform entrance before boarding your train.
Airport → central Athens Airport trains run on Line 3 Metro (blue) to Monastiraki metro station stopping at all stations. Trains run from the airport between 6.30am and 11.30pm and from Monastiraki between 5.50am and 10.50pm. You can save a little if buying tickets for multiple passengers. When returning to the airport check the platform screen - it will tell you which trains go to the airport and more importantly, which don’t.
Airport → Piraeus Catch the Line 3 Metro (blue) from the airport, changing at Monastiraki metro station to Line 1 ISAP (green) which will take you to Piraeus. When you arrive at Piraeus, Bus No 904 from the bus stop to the left of the station will take you to Zea Marina.
Central Athens → Piraeus You can board at any Line 1 ISAP (green) station and go directly to Piraeus. If you are on Line 2 Metro (red), change at Omonia, or if you’re on Line 3 Metro (blue) change at Monastiraki. When you arrive at Piraeus, Bus No 904 from the bus stop to the left of the station will take you to Zea Marina.
TAXI
Catching taxis in Greece is a relatively easy business but check that the meter is set to the correct tariff - daytime is tariff 1, whilst night (which runs from midnight to 5am) is tariff 2. You will pay a €3 surcharge from airports alongside a €2.70 toll road charge, while port pick-ups are subject to €0.80 cents in surcharge. Luggage is charged at €0.30 cents for each piece over 10kg. Most drivers add a tip so check the breakdown before adding anything extra! See the price table above for estimated fares and journey times. If your taxi driver does not speak English please show them the text below explaining the location of easyCruiseOne.
