Since the launch of easyCruise, our concept has undergone a continual process of evolution and today, we have a more exciting product than ever before. It not only offers you a stylish cruising experience; it also allows us to share with you our intimate knowledge of the Aegean islands, Greece and Turkey.

A little bit of history
easyCruise.com was one of the latest ventures launched by Stelios, the serial entrepreneur and chairman of easyGroup. In 1995, Stelios founded easyJet, Europe's leading low cost airline.

Since May 2005 we have been offering a unique holiday experience to independently minded travellers regardless of age. From our base in Athens, Greece we launched our first ship “easyCruiseOne” in the Greek islands in 2007, cruising to chic resorts and islands which are off the usual tourist trail. During the autumn and spring you could take a 7 day tour of Classical Greece onboard 'easyCruiseOne'. From May 2008, the second and bigger ship “easyCruise Life” began cruising to the Aegean Islands and Turkey. Meanwhile “easyCruiseOne” was offering a 4 day long-weekend to the Cyclades and 9/10/11 day cruises through the Corinth Canal to the Ionian Sea.

In summer 2009 easyCruise was acquired by Hellenic Seaways, the leading Greek maritime company, operating 34 vessels and providing year-round, high-quality sea transportation services to both passengers and cargo. The cruise market is part of the new investment plans of Hellenic Seaways and marks the entrance to cruising. The deal includes the ship “easyCruise Life” along with the exclusive license to use the easyCruise brand for all Mediterranean destinations and follows Stelios investment, via easyGroup, in Sea Star Capital, one of the main share holders of Hellenic Seaways.
