This weekend marked the first day of spring and the start of the tourist season in Albania. To celebrate the occasion, the Master of easyCruiseOne cpt. Nektarios Rigas, invited Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha and the Minister for Tourism, Ylli Pango, onboard easyCruiseOne, which is this year including the country on its new 10 night ‘Around the Ionian Sea Cruise’ top Greece and Albania.

Budget cruise is a great way to see the real Greece
Cruises had never really appealed to me to be honest. I'd pictured snobby day trips aimed at the rich and elderly with not enough time ashore to explore the sights. So it was with trepidation that I agreed to a week's island-hopping around Greece aboard the easyCruiseOne. The Cambridge Union Society, in association with easyCruise, debates the motion, ‘This house would return the Parthenon Marbles to the new Acropolis Museum in Athens’.
Campaigners for the return of the Parthenon Marbles to Athens were buoyed by the positive result of a heated debate at the World famous Cambridge Union on Monday (February 18). However there was disappointment from the floor that the British Museum refused to join the debate to defend its position on the Marbles.

Anna Vissi, the popular Greek singer, who performed live at the gala accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, gave an astounding performance that made the evening a memorable one for all the guests that were at the Royal Opera House, in Covent Garden for the occasion.

GREEK easyGroup billionaire Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou has joined the Daily Express crusade to end the suffering of Santorini's donkeys, saying he is "embarrassed" at their treatment.
The concerned businessman, 40, who spent his summer holidays on the island as a child, has pledged £24,000 every year to help the Santorini Animal Welfare Association double the number of medical checks the donkeys receive.

After a successful first summer in Greece, easyCruise has announced that a second ship named easyCruise Life will join the easyCruise fleet on a new 7 day cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey.
From April 2008, easyCruise Life will be cruising to 6 different Greek Islands, from laid back Syros and Samos to lively Kalymnos, Kos, Paros and Mykonos for a 24 hour stay. easyCruise will visit Turkey for the first time with a full day and night in Bodrum. Customers can choose where to join the cruise – in Athens on Saturday or in Bodrum on Monday.
