42 nationalities already booked on easyCruise

The easyCruise website has received a very encouraging level of bookings since we went live in mid February. It is already becoming apparent that there will be a highly international mix of customers on board easyCruiseOne. At this early stage easyCruise has already taken bookings from passengers resident in 32 countries, representing 42 different nationalities in total.

Due to the strength of the 'easy' brand and the advertising which has taken place so far, the British will be by far the largest contingent on board. So far, 50% of the passengers who will be taking an easyCruise this summer are of British nationality. In second place are the Americans with 13% of the passengers on board. Although the 'easy' brand is less well known in the USA Stelios' recent keynote speech at the leading global Seatrade conference in Miami and press reports which have appeared in just about every major US newspaper (from the LA times to the Wall Street Journal), combined with some highly productive online marketing with search engines, have proved very effective.

More western European countries are also well represented with nationalities coming from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany and Greece. Other English mother-tongue nationals are also among the core bookings and are most strongly represented by Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Canada.

"I am pleased that we are bringing such an international crowd to such an international holiday area," said Stelios the serial entrepreneur and easyGroup chairman. "The South of France and Italian Riviera have for a long time been the playground of the internationally rich and famous and now we are giving a chance to a wider international crowd to visit this beautiful part of the world," he continued.

www.easyCruise.com is taking bookings now for Spring and Summer cruises in the South of France and the Italian Riviera. easyCruise is designed to appeal to independently-minded people in their 20's, 30's and 40's. easyCruiseOne sails for a few hours each night, arriving in a new and exciting port every day by lunchtime. The ship stays in port until the early hours of the next morning before repeating the same cycle. Passengers join and leave the cruise where and when they want, provided they stay on board for at least two nights.
