easyCruise has announced that its 2007 summer season will see easyCruiseOne visit Stelios’ home country of Greece, taking in Athens and the cosmopolitan islands of Mykonos, Paros and Ios as well as the undiscovered islands of Milos, Amorgos, Naxos, Folegandros, Sifnos and Serifos.  The itinerary, which allows you to take anything from a weekend break to a two-week holiday, will set sail on 31st May 2007 from Athens for as little as £30 per person for a three night mini break (based on two people sharing a standard cabin).

The cruises have been specifically tailored to offer customers the choice of holiday pace.  The four-day weekend cruise, combines a mixture of lively islands where you can enjoy the nightlife as well as the stunning beaches.  On the seven day, ‘Alternative Aegean’ cruise, you visit six off-the-beaten-track islands giving you the chance to explore some of the most beautiful destinations in the Aegean Sea.  Arriving each day by lunchtime, you can stroll along some of the prettiest untouched beaches, try the local delicacies in one of the many tavernas, discover the charm of the villages and the bustle of Athens or simply enjoy the stunning views.

Stelios Haji-Ioannou, easyCruise founder commented:  “We are very pleased to announce this new itinerary.  For me especially it is very important as it brings easyCruise to my home. There is so much to see and do in Greece and Athens in particular has changed a lot over the last few years, especially after the Olympics held in Athens in 2004.  I am very proud and honoured to be able to show the rest of the world my home town and the most beautiful islands in the world.  The new itinerary is also unique – it is the only way you can visit up to 11 different islands in one go, a number of which have been previously unexplored as holiday destinations and we are confident that the itineraries will prove very popular with customers.”

“The easyCruise philosophy has always been to bring new and exciting locations to our customers, so it is the perfect time to explore a new part of the world.  easyCruiseOne has spent two summer season’s sailing the French & Italian Riviera, which has been hugely successful, and now the new Greek flexible itineraries will allow passengers to experience the alternative Aegean, whether they want to explore untouched beaches or want a more lively holiday, and all of which they can tailor to the amount of time they have available - a weekend, week or even longer.  easyCruise is designed to offer a completely different holiday option and is certainly attracting people who have never thought of choosing a cruise before.”

Complete with the new livery of graphite grey with orange trim and a new bar and restaurant, which is the brainchild of premier Dutch designer, Jan Des Bouvrie, easyCruise is unlike any other cruise allowing passengers to enjoy the day and nightlife in each destination.   On board, passengers can relax in the hot tub, enjoy a leisurely meal or drink, sunbathe on one of the two sundecks, work out at the gym or listen to the sounds of the resident dj well in to the early hours before heading back to one of the 86 cabins (available in twins/doubles, quads and suites), which have also seen a redesign in line with customer feedback, including almost sixty having had windows added.

easyCruiseOne’s Greek itinerary is now on sale for departures from 31st May – 18th October 2007.
